An interesting year, perhaps not as many events and accomplishments as last year, but definitely met a lot of new people. This lists what happened this year, not necessarily in chronological order:
- Went on a cruise for the first time. We went to Cabo San Lucas with a group of fun friends, and met a few new people.
- Learned that secret women code is accurate, but I should just do my own thing anyway.
- I went on a few dates, but I forgot to get a second date due to lack of social skills. .... I'm working on it!
- My sister got a divorce. 😢
- So did my aunt. 😢
- I got Agricola, and played it a couple dozen times this year.
- I also played some version of Settlers of Catan maybe 40 times this year. That's it? Really?
- I played Carcassonne for the first time this year.
- I got to play Apples to Apples with my co-workers.
- I switched to a different workload at work.
- Nearly half my coworkers were hired this year.
- I got a raise at work.
- They switched my pay system at work, so did not get my third raise yet.
- But I do make 6 figures in base 9, so I'm happy anyway. :)
- A lifelong dream of mine was that when I'm singing something random, someone would join in as if we were living in a musical. This lifelong dream of mine was accomplished this year.
- Started a new project at work.
- Went to Bear Lake with my Singles Ward.
- Went to St. George with my old Singles Ward.
- My camera broke at St. George, so I bought a new one. One at least 4x more awesome! Oh, yeah!
- Boundaries re-aligned so I'm was put in a new Singles Ward. Now I have to call Singles Wards by their name, since old and new aren't good enough now.
- Thanks to that, I met some new friends.
- Thanks to always switching, I'm a lot better at remembering names and faces now.
- My cousin got married.
So, I think this year can be described as the year I met new people.
