This has been a really good year. Here are some of the highlights:
- Bought a new journal
- Dropped cell phone and had to buy a new one
- Saw The Marvelous Wonderettes with a group of friends
- Went to Lava Hot Springs
- Attended a General Conference watch party with friends
- Started writing e-mails back and forth with D_____
- Got called to the Service committee
- Made my own custom Spirit Island game boards
- Saw a Monster Truck show for the first time
- Went to The Leonardo for the first time
- Got back together with D_____ and we started dating again ❤️
- Visited the Sun Tunnels
- Went camping at Cub River with my family
- Went trailing sheep with D_____'s family
- Attended D_____'s nephew's wedding
- Went on several nearby hikes
- Got engaged to D_____ ❤️
- Saw Sound of Freedom
- Attended Lance and Lisa's wedding
- Went to an escape room
- Married D_____ in the Ogden Temple ❤️
- Went to New York City for the first time
- Saw Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Castle Clinton
- Went to Manhattan Temple
- Went to Central Park
- Walked along Hudson River and onto the Brooklyn Bridge
- Saw the Wall Street Bull and Federal Hall
- Saw the Ghostbusters headquarters
- Saw Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center
- Saw the African Burial Ground National Monument
- Saw the New York Public Library and the Metropolitan Museum of Art
- Saw Times Square and Grand Central Station
- Saw Back to the Future on Broadway
- Saw Grant's tomb
- Moved to Brigham City, where D_____ had a house
- Cleaned out the Sunset house in preparation to sell it
- Went on vacation to St. George with friends
- Got called to be Primary teachers. We teach the Valiant 9/10 class
- Went to a paint night where we painted scenes from Luke 2
- Saw Scrooge: A Christmas Carol
- I played a ton of Board Games: 217 times of 114 games with 192 people in 19 different locations, which is fewer than last year, but more people
- New games I got include Scotland Yard, Earth, Villainous, Pandemic: Legacy, Farkle, Wizard, Five Crowns, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, Throw Throw Burrito, National Parks Trivia, Forbidden Jungle, Dixit: Origins, probably others I'm forgetting from wedding, not to mention inheriting through marriage all the other games D_____ already owned
This was definitely my best year yet, being able to marry my best friend. Looking at my goals last year, made when I was broken up with D_____, I ended up not doing any of them and focusing on her instead.
When I think about things I want to do, I think I really mostly want to develop my relationship with D_____. I do still want to do my other things from last year, but they've become lower priority. Perhaps I should just focus on one, and if I have to choose, I think I'd like to work on my video editing to get more caught up. For a new goal, I'll pick a nice obtainable goal to prepare the house in Sunset to sell.
Spiritual goals, we are studying the Book of Mormon this year, so I'll be doing that. D_____ has a goal to visit a total of 40 different temples by the end of the year, she only has 10 more to go, so I'll be joining that quest. Another spiritual goal I have is I want to start reading the Liahona each month.
