This year was one filled with adventures and I am glad I got to spend so much time with D_____. Of the goals I had last year, that's the one I actually worked on. And although we broke up, I don't regret any of the time we shared together. And through the experience, we both learned a lot about ourselves.
Anyway, I think for this year, I would like to focus on some of the things I have put off. I was without my computer for several months after my old one broke, but with my new one I can work on family history goals again. I recently learned that my video editing software still works on my new computer, so I can try and get caught up on compiling my videos. (I'm currently three years behind.)
I had some fitness goals, and in the last few weeks, I finally went to the gym a couple times. I hadn't realized how weak I've gotten by working from home instead of right next to the gym. I need to keep motivated to either go in regularly or to buy myself some weights.
As you may have guessed from my list, it was kind of an expensive year having to fix up my house. I still have some work to do, and next on my list is to remodel my bathroom.
As far as my personal growth goes, I've never felt so emotionally healthy. I used to engage in negative self-talk pretty frequently, but I've learned to stop lying to myself. Although I am aware of my flaws, I've seen my own growth socially and spiritually, and so am optimistic about the direction I am going.
As I've been thinking about my progress in my goals, I feel like I normally put the things I want to do into the back of my mind, and then I draw from them subconsciously as needed. It isn't a bad thing, but I think I would be more successful if I prioritize and put at least one thing at a time in the front of my mind that I can actively work on.
I hope each of you have had a good year, and that you are making plans to make this year even better!
